Meet the Owner

John Dotson —
Fort Worth native,
master remodeler.

John has called Fort Worth home for 47 years. He grew up in historic Ryan Place, just a few blocks from TCU, and has spent his career giving back to the community he loves — first as a firefighter, now as the owner and hands-on lead of Red Beard Remodels.

When you call Red Beard, John answers. He handles every estimate himself, meets you face to face, listens to your vision, walks through realistic timelines and offers design ideas along the way. He is on the jobsite regularly, photographs progress from start to finish, and sends you those photos for your records. Married with two children, he brings the same care to your home that he brings to his own.

His wife Leah Dotson is a licensed Fort Worth realtor. Together they help clients with everything from pre-sale updates to investment property maintenance — a rare combination of remodeling expertise and real estate knowledge under one roof.
